Payphones: Embratel does not provide public payphones yet. They are only provided by the Brazilian regional telephone companies. Nowadays, Embratel is facing up difficulties with telephone interconnection agreements with these regional companies due to new telecommunication rules. So, some payphones cannot be able to make IFS calls. Some mobile operators block (default) the access, however, the customer is free to authorize the mobile operator to dislike it. Other mobile operators block the access by 3/6 months and, depending on the customer profile (bill payment on the right date, fidelity, etc), the mobile operator disblock it after that period.
